eric_t2 0 Posted December 18, 2003 Does this image seem like its missing something? This is a cropped down version of the original. The original is in the same folder as this one. How could I have framed this better? Any comments appreciated. Link to comment
scott_hayne 0 Posted December 18, 2003 I'm seeing a green cast to a few of your shots. Are you shooting BW or desaturating digitally? A tree in the distance would be nice. Maybe tilting the shot left would offer a different perspective. I love DOF so it caught my eye. Link to comment
doug_sellner 0 Posted December 18, 2003 Excellent for what I assume is true photo/non digital. Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted December 18, 2003 The rock at bottom doesn't quite fit with the rest of the shot. Maybe if it was smaller, or darker...or if there was water on this side of it as well... Link to comment
eric_t2 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Thanks for the comments. So seeing more of the river upstream might be a better angle? There is a tree in the original shot, but it was too dark so I cropped it out. Should have used a green filter to help bring it out of the brown background it is against. And maybe that rock could have been used better if not at all. All of the prints you see in my folder are from Ilford Pan F Plus ISO 50 film processed in D-76. I made the prints the good ole fashion way using an enlarger and a darkroom. But the prints are then scanned with a cheap flatbed scanner. But I've never noticed a green cast to any of them.
