On a late May afternoon in 2020, this great egret was hunting relentlessly, but had little success. I've seen these birds catch one prey after another, but this one wasn't so lucky. It isn't the sharpest photo, but it has a mood I like. Shot in the Lepelaarplassen reserve, not far from my home. Your comments are very welcome.
