larry_korhank 0 Posted January 29, 2021 Your photo stimulated a question. Why are those stupid birds flying around the base of the falls? Isn’t that dangerous? Surprisingly, Google says the area is important for birds, especially gulls, with up to 100,000 gulls and 19 gull species. Part of the reason is that they feed on stunned fish that go over the falls. I’ve observed similar feeding by hawks at nearby waterfalls, especially after a big rain. Link to comment
