Wow - it's incredible how "there" the subject is in this photo. It's a lesson to we adults on "Beingness".

You can see the wheels turning behind those eyes (that are nicely defined in this photo).

This one looks to be cropped a little tighter than the other on. I like the framing much better.

Yes, I like how her sweet (if I may) head is cropped a little and it seems that so much attention is directed at her eyes. I like how the world is about to burst with things to learn.

Excellent photo. What type of lighting system did you use?

Combination lighting. Nikon SB-80DX, on camera, bounced straight up off the ceiling, along with natural window lighting from about six feet away.

Spectacularly good photo in every respect. There's depth behind those eyes and you've caught it. Very nice tonality as well.
