Follow the orange arrow, Daniel? When I viewed the thumbnail version, I was sure I was looking at a fossilized fish - perhaps a coelacanth. Looking at the full-size version, I am confident the subject is nonetheless a fish. Perhaps the role of the arrow is to provide a sense the fish's length. Most interesting . . . My best always, michael

Hello Michael: I hope you are well. As always, thank you for not only taking the time to visit but to analyze or interpret what goes on. Your interpretations are quite imaginative, not to my surprise as you are a very creative person/photographer with a keen eye. It so happens that this is totally a haphazard find. I was walking along the beach and what caught my attention was the lollipop stick, a frozen one at that. It was by no means placed or moved by me. Someone must have thrown the stick away, and the tide might have deposited further up the shore, and out of pure chance, next to a shoe/sandal print. The congruence of their direction and oddity of the find, made me take the shot. It is by no means arranged or prepared, and precisely because of that is that I took the photo. Otherwise, I would not dare post it in PN as an artificially arranged photo, which if it were so, I would think very little of myself for such a simple, effortless, shot lacking creativity, that is, I value spontaneity and unusual things that present themselves to me. Thank you very much for your comment, and precisely because of it, I sincerely appreciate the chance you gave me to provide an explanation of my philosophy for taking and presenting my work. As always, I value your comments more than you thing. I am sincerely grateful and a great admirer of your work. Please receive my best and warmest, personal heartfelt regards. DG
