nabil_ezz 0 Posted December 10, 2003 It is a lovely photo. Good composition, excellent lighting! the background is dull a little. ;) Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted December 19, 2003 I usually pass on baby shots, but couldn't pass this one by. Too cute and very nicely done Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 19, 2003 Some photos beat you over the head with their "gee whiz, look at me" sort of impact. But then these grow stale if that's all there is to them. But other photos reveal their impact more upon considered and repeated viewings. I am struck by the fact that I've seen this portrait before, but that I like it more each time I view it. This is technically exquisite and utterly timeless. I only wish the shadow of the hand at right were there, too. It's always great to find under-appreciated nuggets like this! Link to comment

antoine_morin 0 Posted December 19, 2003 Really well done. The pose is good, and the expression is riveting. However, the background looks odd to me. Is this an artifact of photoediting (or the effect of a "hair light"?) that the background on the right is more pale where I would naturally expect a shadow? Because of that, and the lack of texture, the child looks like he is levitating. As a father, that troubles me ;-) But maybe this was the desired effect. Link to comment
rickaubin 0 Posted December 20, 2003 This photo has a glow about it that I like. It brings the subject forward in the frame and gives the image a 3D appearence. Link to comment
anthony_m1 0 Posted December 23, 2003 Great shot, terrific pose. What makes one pic go thru the newly posted critique forum more than another? Just curious. AJM Link to comment
