michaellinder 16,613 Posted September 3, 2020 A most fascinating image, Tony. It offers a myriad of travel opportunities for both my eyes and my brain (what's left of it). My initial foray into this mystical universe was simply to take in the colors with their iridescence and patterns with their variations. Also, although the two large verticals appear at fist blush just serve to frame the image, the left one must have decided to let some of the magic leak out. Outstanding work! - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Tony Long 28 Posted September 4, 2020 Michael, thanks for your comments on this series. They have captured your imagination and that is thrilling. I guess these pictures sum up what I most enjoy about photography. When something suddenly catches my eye/attention and I am drawn to examine with the aid of my camera. I have spent many years living with these objects but never before do I recall their interaction with the late summer afternoon sunlight pouring through the window. My understanding of the physics of the interaction between light and objects is increasingly sketchy but I assume this is a mixture of diffraction and reflection effects. I think your superbly imaginative words describing this as letting some of the magic leak out is a good enough explanation for me! Regards Tony Link to comment
