Excellent pose. Great exposure. Wonderfully done.

Love the motion dynamics the wing position gives the over all image; ready to pounce.

Great shot Paul. The pose is excellent, and I love the detail, and simple colours throughout the image.

 

I just wish there was more of a glint in the eye (perfect for a bird like this, primed to pounce)

 

Great detail and composition. I particularly appreciate that the claws are fully visible. Did you remove unpleasant background, or was it this way? I still tend to appreciate unmanipulated photos better than manipulated ones - the photographer's (often painstaking) effort to find the right background (if at all possible) should still be acknowledged even in this era of infinite possibilities.

PS. The background is natural, shallow DoF softened dirt and grass

behind Caracara.
