DG, I too am a Trekkie! Initially the title was what grabbed my attention. That was fortuitous, because I then looked at the lifeform you photographed, trying to locate its home world. Finally, I gave up. Then, with my interpretive expertise shut down, I soaked in the colors and design of the flowers adorning th lifeforms shoulders. Immediately, I thought of two folk songs that rank among my favorites: "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "Bread and Roses." Each in its own special way provides commentary on the current state of the world. To summarize, I find this image to be highly creative, both in concept and in presentation. In all likelihood, it's also an original. - - My best always, michael
