terry_yarbrough 0 Posted December 5, 2003 A really overcast day, but I liked the look of it anyway. It may appear that I colorer the vegetation of a B&W image, but the overcast is what makes the mountains/sky/water look that way. Look close and you will see a little green in the mountains. christian deichert 1 Posted December 5, 2003 Interesting effect -- really does look like part monochrome and part color. Fortunately, there's just enough contrast between the peaks and the sky that the tops of the peaks don't blend right in to the clouds, although the peaks to the right in the distance come close. Well shot -- great scene. Link to comment

ljk 0 Posted December 6, 2003 The color combination is so unusual and so beautiful. The still water and reflection provide such serenity. I just want to keep looking a it! Link to comment
dave_holland 0 Posted December 6, 2003 This one caught my eye because I think I have been there. Good balance, excellent choice of the ND grad filter. Interesting contrast between the colors of the foreground and the black and white sky. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted December 6, 2003 Wonderful image. Don't apologize for the overcast sky...it helps make the image. Great use of the split ND filter. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 7, 2003 Flat lighting can enhance the saturation of warmer tones, especially if there's been a bit of precip. Very, very well done in all respects. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted December 7, 2003 I'm sure the overcast sky is what changed this from a typical saturated scenic shot to this with its subtle hues and tones. A very serene image. Link to comment
