Merci beaucoup, Frederic! ...You may write your comments in any language you like :))) Though, I must confess, I am not sure I will be able to fully evaluate it :)))... as my native language is Russian... But, as I said, all languages are welcomed! :))

Well, it is already the second offer of this kind for this picture..:)) I am happy you like it! Of course, I don't mind, but how is it possible? To send it by post? I really don't know, it is new to me :)

We can wait until the Christmas mail rush is over. I will get in touch regarding sending it by post. I will be glad to send you something in return. Do you print of fiber based paper?

this cliche has been done before and technically better. but it does make me wonder if 'the emperor's new clothes' was playing on the tube...

...that's a pretty rough comment. Upload some pictures so we can see if you know what you are talking about.

I personally have never seen such pictures before, but... maybe you are right...I don't know. Could you give me a reference, a link, or at least a name of the author and the title of a technically better cliche of this kind, so that I could see what you mean? Thank you.

Yes - I haven't seen such an image before, either! It could simply be because of my inexperience... but we can all only base our opinions on our experiences!!

I print my photos on usual photopaper. I know very little about paper and I would appreciate any advice and information about it. Do you think the paper you mentioned is the best one?

I went off and looked at Peggy Jones' other comments and criticisms. She is blunt without a doubt but her insights, suggestions and critiques are some of the finest and concise examples on this site.

There are a lot of 0 Uploaders that trash works and move on without really explaining themselves or, worse yet, their careless behaviour sows seeds of doubt in the exhibitor. Peggy isn't one of them.

Half...

I would print this image on a good fiber based paper rather than a resin coated one. I use Agfa Classic Fiber Based paper in the glossy number 111 surface and dry on screens. You should have no trouble getting it there. I tried to send this via e-mail but the address on the site is wrong. You can send me a note on my address at and I will be glad to help.

Best, Owen.

Oh..no, the address is correct..Probably it is my mail box which is full again :) I'll clean it immediately ...

Thank you for the advice. What does 'dry them on screens' mean?

This is funny that it looks too staged for you , because it was NOT staged AT ALL... (but even if it was, so what? ).. The head of my friend is lying comfortably on my lap... (I was photografing her on the sofa, then she got tired and put her head on my knees, raised her eyes on me..the TV was on, and here I saw this image). I took only one shot of this..and it is what you see.

I know I repeat myself ("Ne jamais profiter de l'elan acquis" :), this image resembles the one with the window and the yard (which WAS staged)... But this is not because of the lack of imagination... This is the way I see things...My angle of vision, my style perhaps...

Isn't it natural for an artist to have favourite tricks?

Leanne, that's funny...Your comment appeared while I was writing the answer to Balai..and it partialy contains the answer too. But as to manufacturing art, I agree that such temptation may appear..But I swear it was not the case with the TV set, which was absolutely accidental and spontaneous and shot with impuls not with aim...

This is the way I usually take photographs,.. very few of them were staged actually, thought I don't find anything wrong with doing it ...
