robertbrown 1 Posted December 5, 2003 Where are these falls? I've been to Zigzag many times and stayed in cabins and campgrounds in that general area and done quite bit of hiking around. About the photo: great exposure. Slow enough eposure to show motion, but not so slow as to wash out all the detail. I assume you took this in the very late afternoon near dusk, or a very overcast day. While it's not the most original photo, it's a beautiful shot. Link to comment
kenthansson 0 Posted December 5, 2003 It stands out from the rest of water and long exposure pics, like it a lot. Rgs. Kent (My photos...) Link to comment

John Crowe 165 Posted January 26, 2004 I do not understand why photos like this are not selected for photo of the week! The weird and wonderful one offs are fascinating but this took thoughtful planning. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted May 16, 2007 Jay, if I remember correctly, it was about 30 seconds. Thanks for the comment. Link to comment

stp 6 Posted January 22, 2008 Bert, thanks for the comment. This was one of my most memorable hikes for photography: on the trail by 4:00 a.m. with a flashlight, had well over an hour of solitude at the falls a couple of hours later, and then met only a few souls as I was heading back down to the trailhead. I had seen a photograph of this place in a book years ago, and being able to capture my own image was very rewarding. Link to comment

richardthompson 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Beautiful exposure, well framed, great forms and misty effects on the falls, Stephen! Your variations on this theme are splendid as well. Link to comment
pascalagneray 0 Posted February 26, 2010 Ther is another stunner but it looks a bit blurry at the bottom. If the bushes are sharp, man...that's a killer but we'll never know...at PN it's the potage stamp rule (more than 20 pixels and you can't upload) Link to comment
jrickert 2 Posted April 9, 2011 What a beautiful, dreamy image. I love the blue hues in the water,...so many shades. Just stunning! Link to comment
