CONNECTION....REFLECTION....QUESTION

Daniel, initially I found the bright white garb of the monk (?) offputting. After viewing the image holistically, I changed my mind. The darkest of black clearly dominates the frame, in such a way that its contrast with white area in question is extraordinarily powerful, in both appearance and mood. In addition, there are enough midtones to balance the tonality. There's another aspect of the image that is equally as strong. The human figure's appearance is somewhat amorphous and/or undefined. Yet, the tall objects in the BG are identical in shape. I don't know what else to say about your incredible sense of seeing photographically, your possibly unparalleled expertise with a camera, and your almost mystical feel for art.
