kkwan 0 Posted June 10, 2001 Cool image! Great idea. In addition to the blurring effect, I also like the lighting on the wheel and the hand. Makes me want to go take a drive. Link to comment

gopesa 0 Posted June 11, 2001 the effect is captivating, but I can't help thinking there's alot of photoshop here Link to comment
dd-b 0 Posted June 11, 2001 That's cool. I do get a decent motion effect from the view through the windshield, and I like the focus inside the car. Tell me it's a photoshop effect, or at least that you weren't the driver too :-) (I'm looking at the critique list, not your portfolio, so I don't see anything but the caption and the picture.) jp_roberts 0 Posted June 11, 2001 The source for this image came from 2 digital photos shot with the Coolpix 990. One while I was driving (not as fast as it looks though lol) and the other while I was parked in the parking lot in front of my apartment. I then used the path tool in photoshop to "cut out" the interior and comp'd the shot together with the other source image. I did have to do some cloning though since the steering wheel is upside down and the speedometer read "0" miles an hour. The gas and temperature gauges were off as well so I had to fix those. I wound up "burning" in a few more shadows to mask the cloning. The blur was also intensified using the photoshop zoom blur filter. All in all, I like the direction the image is going. Thanks for your comments! Link to comment
