'Disenchanted'

Thank you Raymond,

I see this man quite often although mostly when I am on public transport and unable to photograph when I do see him he always appears to be carrying a sorrow akin to an unbearable weight.

I am sure that he comes from a good background; there is something about him that separates him from the majority of homeless people that I photograph although as he is very withdrawn I havent yet been able to speak with him.

You can see his haunting figure mostly around the West End and Londons Soho district during the day.

I can see a sliver of the woman about to rush by him by the curb--that's an effective and symbolic touch. It's even better now that I've noticed that it looks like she too is carrying a bag. Maybe she isn't but it looks that way to me or I'd like to think so....

These are the kind of people we rush by, taking the curb every day.
