j._scott_schrader 0 Posted June 12, 2001 I agree with Andy. Definitely your best. The log doesn't stand out too much im my opinion. I actually think it works well in this shot. Link to comment
robertbrown 0 Posted June 12, 2001 I like this photo, too. In fact, I like all your seascapes and infared pictures. All strong. Looking forward to seeing new work. Link to comment
brian_e 0 Posted June 12, 2001 I love the central part of this photo - kind of Myst-ish looking. I think I agree that it feels a bit off balance. I tried cropping in more of a panoramic format (attached), thinking that a wide horizontal emphasizes the expanse of the scene without taking away from the beautiful reflections and far away rock. Overall, simply lovely! Link to comment
ken_reppart 0 Posted June 12, 2001 Thanks Guy that's a great idea! I'll play around with the full size image some more and post the results. Link to comment
rich_evans 0 Posted June 27, 2001 This photo is very reminiscent of some of the lat 19th century american painters style - big expanses and great ethereal ambience. I like this photo alot, I might only brighten the dark area on the right, but just a touch. Rich Link to comment
brucelsnell 0 Posted June 27, 2001 Fantastic! I just love the look, the composition, the colors. If you live near there you are a truly lucky guy! By the way, did you find the linking book that transports you home? Couldn't resist the "Myst" comment... sorry! Link to comment
jed goode 0 Posted June 27, 2001 Beautiful image. I think I prefer your original version to the panorama version suggested by Guy England ... but I'm not sure. I would definitely keep the sky as it is though. Link to comment
ken_reppart 0 Posted August 14, 2001 I really like this, what do you think? Trade you ratings if you're game... - ken Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted August 14, 2001 Peaceful. I like it. I agree, I like this better than the panoramic version. Ken Link to comment
dhilton 0 Posted August 14, 2001 Definately like the "panoramic" version better. The cropped version has a "distracting" black spot in the lower right corner. But the panoramic view gets rid of this and balances the photo well.. Link to comment
