michaellinder 16,613 Posted July 9, 2019 Saad, you've created a significant piece of photographic poetry, one that is entirely allegorical. The three objects the image contains represent all that is left of Mosul after all the bombing and shelling reduced it to rubble. I find the white background to be entirely fitting, not only contrasting with the three objects. It also is part and parcel of the allegory. Since it appears to be very antiseptic in appearance, it represents to me the efforts by the Iraqi and American governments (and perhaps others) to "whitewash" the war. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Saadsalem 74 Posted July 12, 2019 Thank you dear Michael, you know by now I guess that I live in Mosul, Iraq, The US aid program is less to be counted as we citizens of Mosul know, It is the UNDA and those behind it that have strong presence in the city, The general belief of people is that US is to blame for all the destruction and corruption that prevail in whole Iraq. Whether true or not , it is for history to decide.Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts over my images, something I always appreciate and consider with gratitude. All my best wishes.
