Adorable

Coot chicks aren't good looking, but they are just as sweet as any young animal. It's just our inclination to project our notion of beauty onto animals that causes a dissemination in views. The red spot around the eyes which disappears in later life makes it easier for their mother to recognize them. Your comments are very welcome.

Yhese chicks are in fact not very beautiful but their plumage is characteristic, their parents are very caring and feed them with small vegetable morsels it is a pleasure to observe them in nature even if very suspicious, ciao Giangiorgio
