Yes, I think he was just lying in the grass when I was coming around. I think I was actually a lot closer to the animal before I noticed it. A few more feet and I would have stepped on it :-)

Holy crap! Did you wet yourself? You must have been smoking some of those flowers because my 1st instinct when I see a bobcat pop-up next to me is not to look at him and go "say cheese" hehe

I have always been dissatisfied with the ratings system (particularly on whizzing through thumbs) - but now the viewers ratings have been revealed I am shocked at how many people rate 1,1's or 2,3's for really decent pictures. 5 is average so anything that shows even slightly interesting aesthetics or originality should score above 5? I rate this 10 on originality because you were caught unawares, and as far as I can see your exposure/focus is fine. You had no time for too much thought on composition, and the eye level looks good anyway. You could crop some space from the bottom & right, but thats the only flaw I can see.
