Country Biker

I like the way it is split. the light is very subtle here and the man seems to be on a journey. I like the basket on his bike and the carefree simple idea of the shot

The biker seems to be stymied by the chain that stretches across his path, but no doubt he won't be stymied too long and will continue on his journey. Picking up on Stephanie's comments, I like how the chain frames the biker, with the exception of his upper torso and head. But what makes the image stand out, aside from the lighting, is its very sharp detail. When I first opened it, it seemed rather pointillistic, reminiscent of painters like Seurat. Bravo, Jack! (a favorite)

Stephanie, Michael - Thanks for your comments on this picture. I actually like it quite well. especially how the pole and the edge of the road divide the picture into three distinct areas. I was disappointed with the response to this picture (nothing new there) but I I'm glad you found something to appreciate in it. Best regards, Jack
