Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 15, 2019 I see you're doing a little experimenting with selective colors the past couple of pictures. This one works really well. I especially like the cartoon illustration on the container which is right out of the 1920's. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted February 15, 2019 The commercialism promoted by the appearance of this container is quite harmless, compared to the over-the-top ads that currently are in vogue. The character it portrays seems quite happy-go-lucky. DG, this is nostalgia at its finest. - - My best always, mhl Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted February 16, 2019 Hello dear colleagues Jack and Michael. I NEVER EVER take even one word of your kind comments for granted. On the contrary, I read them carefully to really absorb your ideas and impressions. I was not sure if this photo had "what it takes" to be a good photo....but what is a good photograph? An image that captures the attention of the viewer for one reason or other. I went to an old restaurant my parents took me when I was a kid, and this place has an impressive collection of all kinds of bottles. A treasure really. I was sitting next to this and a couple of other really old ones, and antiquities have a special attractiveness for me. It certainly it is not the best quality of post-processing, and I write this, I realize it was more a desire to share an item seldom seen these days. Thank you sincerely for taking a look at this "experiment", and your always poignant words. All my best for both of you. Link to comment
