hstelljes 41 Posted February 9, 2019 This tiny house is about 165 years old. Comments always welcome, thanks for looking. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 9, 2019 It's interesting how the flag in the window stands out as a decorative grace note in contrast to the forest greens and beige tones that dominate the picture. I much prefer it this way rather than as a symbol to which we attach ourselves. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted February 9, 2019 A touch of Americana - a wrought-iron fence in front of an exceptionally charming house with its white siding, its black roof, its green accents, and a flag hung inside the front door. Clearly all these elements clearly evidence both how well lived in the house is and its withstanding 165 years of weathering. Holger, the trees going the fence in framing the house is the proverbial icing on the cake. - - My best always, michael Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted February 10, 2019 Hi Holger, a lovely tiny house, photographed very well in its surroundings. I like the fact that you chose a centered composition, just because it shows so well what your subject is, seemingly without thinking about how others might perceive it. The simplicity of this house and the fence before it is striking. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted February 11, 2019 Vincent thank you for your visit, your comment is spot on, it describes what I envisioned. To think that small houses are now in vogue. The times they are a changin'. See you soon....................Holger Link to comment
