This is one of my many pictures of 5 rolls of film that I took that

day. Because it was in the fall months, later in the game the

lighting wasn't very good, but this was one of my favorites from

earlier in the game.

You have a good action shot and you really did capture the moment perfectly. I admit, they're hard to get.

However... the crowd is too distracting thus making this hard to look at. It actually takes quite a while for my eyes to adjust to it... a little blurring out on the crowd may help.

Very well done in getting the action of this shot - this is always challenging and they don't come too often. Like the other comments the crowd is distracting but this would be the appiture limitation of the lense - only a lot of money can change this so don't beat yourself up. One method I use to get around the distraction of the crowd is to crop the image to fill the frame with as much of the subject(s) as possible. The only other point I would like to make is the AF has focused on the backgroud player; again it forces the viewer to scan for the player/ball. I find that if you can focus on the face of the player then do so - it shows the emotion of the player that you what the viewer to focus on. If you can't focus on the player's face then focus on the the helmet/jersey numbers and/or the ball. Again well done.

Thanks for the comments. I agree with the crowd being in focus...check out my latest addition and feel free to let me know what you think of that one :)
