joe4peace 0 Posted February 13, 2019 The giant Eastern Hemlock Pine is dying in the Smokey Mountain National Park. It is the king of the forest and provides a whole eco system. The hemlock Wooley Adelgid is the culprit and came from Japan in 1925. Thanks for this photo and if you live near the park be pro-active in having the trees treated. Each tree individually needs to be treated with imidacloprid. They could go extinct! Beautiful Photo..... Link to comment
