It's amazing to see the difference between summer and winter here. I was in that same exact spot back in 1996 at the end of December when it was covered in snow and the lake was iced over. This rendition is lovely!!

Although I find the composition a bit too academic and calendar styled, I must admit that the clouds and the shadows on the treetops give this image a personality. Technically perfect, of course.

it breaks the thirds rule and WHO CARES!? This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL - 10/10 - and I think that may be the first time I've ever said that on here. If I'd taken it, I'd have a 12x18 print framed on the wall, no doubt! Well done!

This is certainly one of the better captures of this scene. Usually there are dogs and tourists wading in the water so I assume you got up there early for this spectacular image. Nicely balanced with the filters and technically as good as it gets for a 35mm shot. It's nice to see you're back and shooting again. I missed seeing your splendid images.

I see that among the 70 ratings given this image at this point there are three who gave 5s with a combined total of 0 images posted between them. Ah the drive-by critics are everpresent.
