the road to no where

Out of focus, full of noise - everything is wrong with this picture. Why then does it take me to this place with such forceful immediacy. That's the wonder of art. Photography can't be simply reduced to a set of rules and commandments - do this, don't do that. To which I would answer " do whatever you need to do to bring us there." By the way, is this the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge? That was kind of my gut feeling.

Stephanie, this is an excellent study in a side of human reality most people don't want to discuss - - alienation and loneliness. That's why, for me, this image is a powerful documentary.
