ljk 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Hi Howard. I like the composition...even the boards [or whatever] in the background, instead of distracting, bring the eye back to the proud expression on the jester's face. He stands out well surrounded by the black. The coloration works on this too, I think, although I wouldn't mind seeing the color version. Nice job! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Thank you for the feedback. I really like how this turned out. I put the original color version in my "New Submission Stuck at 10" Folder. Link to comment

angela_cummings1 0 Posted December 23, 2003 I love the expression with the pose, and the toning adds to the mood as well. Great capture. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted December 23, 2003 .. was the first thought that came to mind when I saw this. Yes, this is a classic and the toning sets the atmosphere of old medieval Europe. Well done! Link to comment
james_oneill 0 Posted December 24, 2003 Looking at Linda's comment, she's right the lines in the top left steer the eye back to him. In the colour version they a real distraction. I like the sepia toning too, although it is a bit more pronounced than I usually do it. Was this a stage performance ? Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted December 25, 2003 Not in the traditional sense. Was taken at a Fair. He was just walking through the streets and mingling with the visitors. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 31, 2003 I like the sepia toning on this - compliments the composition. The boards are a little distracting to me. I would consider darkening them slightly. Nice work! Link to comment
jerry lee 0 Posted December 31, 2003 my only critique would be to swtich the 2 Zenith Crowns on the left shoulder patch, other than that, possibly interchange the 2 heads, because they both have the same hair dresser. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted January 22, 2004 My original comment was made (I believe) before you dodged the boards at upper left. The shot has been made even stronger; emphasis is now solely right where it should be. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 22, 2004 You are correct. Thank you for paying attention. Link to comment
