When you go for a hike on the trail of the North side of Saguenay

Salut Gilles. This has a lot of possibilities. The exposure is good and the idea is pleasing. The picture would be improved by (if possible) lowering yourself (maybe to the left) so that the outline of the tree (silhoette sp??) was ALL in the sky. In this image the tree trunk is interupted by the horizon land-water line. The horizon line also cuts the picture in halves. Cheers! Clive. (Alberta)

nice shot. it makes me happy and sad at the same time. the picture has a really lonesome feeling to it.

I just learned yesterday (Nov 24, 2003) that I won 1st price in the category "Un fleuve à conserver" on the photo contest for the magazine "L'Escale Nautique" (Quebec, Canada) that will be published in the winter edition 2003/2004. I won a mention as well. I say "another" because 3 weeks ago I won a 1st price as well for a photo posted here named: "Massif du Mt-Valin, Saguenay Lac St-Jean".

The picture is pleasing as is, however, lowering yourself to the ground would have placed more tree in the sky. If you live close bye, try it again and see what you get at different times of the day.
