henrik_egedorf 0 Posted June 6, 2001 I liked the "halfnude" version better. But(t) u r a pretty girl so what the heck..*LOL* The paralellogram grill is amazing. It signifies lines in the female nude behind it in a new way. The squares.. well.. it doesn't intrigue me Let's see more from your hand! Henrik Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 7, 2001 Mortals and Temptation. The Great Force, always lurking in the shadows, always watching. The outstretched arms seeking liberation. The soul, tortured by the turmoil of reaching for the light of experience and independence yet "nailed" to the darkness of institutionalized ignorance and shame. It is nothing short of amazing how beautifully you portray your sentiment in your works, without resorting to barbarian shock and revulsion. Link to comment
herman_korowdein1 0 Posted July 30, 2001 I couldn't have been any more poetic than Scott Blair. (Adelaide S.A.) Link to comment
gianfranco_vialli 0 Posted August 12, 2001 Very artistic in the use of the frame in the foreground and the background light, it almost gives a meaning that this woman is being exorcise of her demons by the image of the crucifix. Gianfranco Link to comment
eugbro 2 Posted August 21, 2001 Very nice conception--my favorite in this series. The window-door-cross theme might lend itself to a lot of equally arresting variations of positioning, lighting, and perhaps color, if used with subtlety. Link to comment
kkeller 0 Posted November 26, 2001 Best one in series. Good lighting and composition. Link to comment
x_y1 0 Posted December 13, 2001 Hi Amy. There's a wonderful atmosphere& mystique to this picture.. I love the streak of light coming from the door.. Regards, L* Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted December 31, 2001 I like the concept of this shot....but I wish the light coming in was softer...also a bit of fill on the other side, you are losing a bit of shape on that side ( models, your, left side).. Link to comment
John Peri 1,038 Posted March 16, 2002 Excellent once again. I made some comments on another photo .... balance, sensitivity etc., but I forgot to add a key word which is "intelligence". It emanates from the both the model and her photos. Link to comment
david_reed1 0 Posted March 18, 2002 I've always been interested in the juxtaposition and the occasional merging of sexually and religion. There always seem to be a tension between the two. Every indivuals seems to strive for a balance between the beauty and grace of the human form and the puritan values of church and state. Somewhere, if we are lucky, we strike that balance in our lives. Thanks for illustrating this struggle in your work and sharing a part of you that most people repress.Keep up the good workDavid Reed Link to comment
carrie_d_oxendine 0 Posted April 9, 2002 This is great I would like to know how you did this one as far as lighting and what you used Hell-razor Link to comment
rick_schamberger1 0 Posted August 15, 2002 this picture is very haunting. really stuck with me for awhile I like how I have to peer around the imposing cross of guilt to see the sexuality of the woman Link to comment
natehoward 0 Posted September 21, 2002 I have watched your work for some time and at last, you have made a real piece here. It is raw, human. The inside of you exposed. The other shots I have seen before appeared too fabricated, as if you tried too hard or were sampling. This is original and true to whatever is in your head. Beautiful! Stay with it. Link to comment
rainy day 0 Posted October 23, 2002 While i personally don't like this photo, it is impossible to deny the fact that it is well composed and very expressive. So much is happening on so many levels (which explains why so many people are each seeing this picture so differently). Yet one more example of the depth of your artistic talent. Don't let anyone tell you your work is fabricated, or you're trying too hard. You have real talent and a creative mind. Link to comment

stank 0 Posted April 1, 2003 Nice use of repeating patterns. I particuarly like the way that the light seems to follow along the horizontal window grid. I really like your use of props frames and grids in this series. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted August 5, 2003 Amy: This is the best of all of them in the portfolio. Get some more postings up. We have not heard from you in a while. -Owen Link to comment
michael_stevens5 2 Posted October 3, 2004 Amy, Absolutely brilliant! You are one talented lady. I attached a male version of the crucifixion pose. Mike Link to comment
david_feany 0 Posted December 23, 2005 I think this is my favorite from the series. The double cross is excellent. The graniness and "filter" from the glass add sooo much feeling and intensity to the scene. Link to comment
