I've been struggling to get all the detail out of this sharp,

contrasty Kodachrome 64 slide. Unfortunately, I think I overused the

circular polarizer. When projected or examined under a loupe, this

manages to look pretty darn good and only a bit underexposed. After

being scanned, it's a different story. Any suggestions? How about

the composition/cropping?

The cliffs on the right side show up pretty dark on my monitor. But the real subject, the water, shows up nicely. The detail in the water is excellent, and its a very cool photo.

Shooting at breaking waves, I had the same exposure problem. Something I wanted to try, but did not do yet, was to use a graduated grey filter, thus reducing the exposure range. By the way, this picture is wonderful!!!

Happy shooting!

a little dark at right, but the awesome power of the waves has been captured beautifully... well done!

Finally! Someone else who uses an FG-20, probably a much underrated camera body! Back on topic: I love the power expressed in this image through the use of a fast shutter speed, good job.
