Great concept. The composition is also nice. The color seems a little funky. Have you tried playing with the background color. Maybe making it neutral. The edge could also be made more natural looking. You could scan a deckled edge or paint a box with a partially transpaprent ink and use it as a mask channel to make the border in photoshop.
