stepanekb 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Very nice, I like all the different colors. Cheers Link to comment
vernon parker 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Great image. Has it been manipulated at all? If not I will take you up on that Christmas holiday offer! Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted November 19, 2003 These colors are really fabulous! I'd like to see this scene in real life. Thanks for sharing this. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Your exposure is very good on this, Michele. The colors give this scene such a festive feeling, what a great idea they have to highlight the buildings this way! Why wait until next Christmas? All I have to do is pack my bags :-) Link to comment
michele_perone 0 Posted November 19, 2003 You're guest for next Christams holiday in this very nice place! Link to comment
alfonso_giordano 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I remember the cribs in the churchs of southern Italy, in my childhood: the same colours, the same magic Christmas' atmosphere Link to comment
guido_fulgenzi 0 Posted November 20, 2003 Great impact of colors and lights, very nice shot! Link to comment
stefano.muzio 0 Posted November 20, 2003 Bellissima, sembra un presepe moderno. Ma era veramente così o l'hai colorata? Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted November 20, 2003 Lovely bright colors and I like the overall composition except for the bottom portion which seems a little busy to my eye (especially all those cars) so I took the liberty of offering a slightly different cropped alternative. Hope you don't mind! Let me know what you think? Link to comment
michele_perone 0 Posted November 20, 2003 Margaret, I agree. But I like the arcade under the way too. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 21, 2003 The exposure is well done. Try taking from the same location during sunset so you can show the evening sky against the lighted buildings. Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Michele, I agree with you too. I also like the arches, too bad about the cars. Link to comment
k._s._lovington 0 Posted November 21, 2003 I'm seeing through the interesting color...and what I'm seeing is a very busy scene(cars, excess junk), and a mediocre composition. The top portion of the hill is far too black as well, making for a uninteresting dark 1/4 of the frame. Its a beautiful night scene, just not handled very carefully-imo. cheers Link to comment
helder_santos 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Beautiful picture, my only consern is the top of the image. maybe removing the black portion would help a little. Link to comment
nunziobilotta 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Un'altra dele tue riuscite riprese notturne. Ma questa è superiore a quelle che ho visto finora, per la varietà di luci e colori che fanno respirare un'aria vitale di festa notturna. Merita di essere valorizzata con una adeguata cornice. Complimenti, Michè! Link to comment
og 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Nice colors, but I didn't see any interesting composition in it. Maybe emphasizing the difference in color for the foreground (a detail, wall...) vs background would have improved the photo. Olivier Link to comment

alan chan 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Michele, nice pick of this colourful night scene ! Perhaps it's too much to be described in one picture - a usual point to be criticised because the viewer's eyes keeps jumping around various "interesting" points !! One option you can take is to describe those "focal points" by "one by one" so that the viewer's eye is "not so tiring". Magarette has proposed one crop which I agree and i think it is still quite pleasing. I am not so sure whether the car park is worth describing but certainly i would attempt another shot with the arches on the left. What I may do is putting the red arch in the "golden 1/3" and using the lower arch at foreground - i don't know whether that is possible by taking it from a lower angle. Thanks for sharing, definitely worth a discussion session. Link to comment
felice_buonadonna 0 Posted November 22, 2003 ...dalle tue parti appena posso ci torno sempre. Link to comment
