Rich Skulls

Any suggestions?

The subject is unusual, but I think the whole thing would be better if there was less foreground (less of the wood surface) and better lighting in the back. Somehting like this needs a dramatic approach IMO. My suggestion would be to place the camera on the coins an point it up to the ceiling or to one of the side walls.

I disagree, I like the wood and lighting. We all see skulls with fog and blue lighting, to make them look scary, but the plain wood and the coins suggest a different atmosphere around these bones. I like how it is different.
