Small tortoiseshell

This butterfly was patient enough to let me get my camera and take some shots. I'm not sure I like the color combination of the insect and the plant's flowers. Your feedback on this photo is welcome.

This beautiful image is borne in it's natural creative environment so you had no choice as to color combinations, but I understand where you're coming from. Great colors though and sharp clear details. A real treat for the eyes. Admire, applaud and all that.........................Best Regards, Holger

So, so pretty, Vincent. I like the tight crop because it puts the butterfly in the right position for viewing. Excellent job of getting the sensor parallel to the butterfly, especially the wings which brought out a fantastic amount of detail. The colors are magnificent along with the presentation. Very unusual to get both antenna in focus. Butterflies are not static creatures with their heads constantly bobbing to get in and out of the blossoms making it that much more difficult to get a good image. A difficult shot that looks as perfect at they get. Best regards, Paul.
