The lone human figure appears to be re-enacting the Battle of Hastings all by himself - a most daunting task. This is almost as precarious as his keeping his balance on the top of the wall. Drew, although it seems like an eternity since I've seen your work, this image appears to fit every description I've ever stated. It's creatively rendered, based on a great deal of technical expertise and an artistic sense that defies the written word. I'm very happy to witness your return to PN! - - My best, michael

Drew, thanks so very much for your reviews of several of my recent photos. I still remember how to read Baylessese!

Hey Drew!! It's been quite a while! I have been missing your special taste/view/flavor for photography, only to encounter this exquisite and!! As always, you challenge the viewer...what an amazing, out-of-the-ordinary human form....in an utterly extraterrestrial ambiance. This is quite unique. Powerful, telling, mind stimulating. I just love the high contrast as it enhances the overall otherworldly scene. A masterpiece. I was missing your posts. Great to have you back with such power and energy! Best personal regards. DG

Hi Drew! What attracts me about this photo is that it's both simple and complex. And it very much has your strong, determined, and crafty voice.

This photo make me laugh, despite the lack of focus, details and sharpness, and the presence of faceless man, great amount of blown details, and hazy rocks and passages and yet it is better than thousands of images that are sometimes perfect in one or more of the missing or present elements in this image.

It's a story of determination, goal to fulfill, a distance to cut, and a danger to escape. It's an epic of a human.

And for unknown reason to me it reminds me immediately with a movie I saw long time ago ( A man on wire ).

Well chosen POTW, and congratulation to the author, my PN friend Drew.
