Broken twig in snow

On a sunny day after a night of snowfall, I saw this twig. I liked the way the twig was connected to its shadow. Shot handheld with an Olympus Zuiko 70-300 mm 4.0-5.6 lens.

Hi Saad,

thank you for your friendly comment on this image and your appreciation of a lot of other photos! What you mention is exactly what made me take the photo in the first place; the twig touching its own shadow. Kind regards, Vincent

This image is a paradigm of simplicity, Vincent. A single twig with its muted shadow and color is entirely enough to dramatize the beauty that is exclusive to winter. Fine work . . . - - My best always, michael - - - PS: I composed my remarks before reading the others.

Hi Michael,

thank you very much for your comments! I'm really glad you like this photo. There's not much chance of finding a simpler subject that says it all. Kind regards, Vincent
