Hi Pierre,

thanks for your amicable comments! Yes, it is quite a low key image; I wanted to show the glow of the light through the flower petals. Kind regards, Vincent

Vincent, somehow I missed this image until now. Finding it was my good fortune. Although I carefully read your response to Pierre, it doesn't influence my own thoughts. Technically the image fires on all cylinders, but its artistry that I find compelling. First, the three leaves appear to hold cradling the flower in much the same as a parent may cradle an infant. Secondly, I love the bloom's progression from light to dark as one's eye moves in that direction. To me, this entire scene is quite ethereal as if it were a fantasy that has universal appeal. - - My best always, michael

Hi Michael,

thank you very much for these insightful comments! You seem to be able to read my intentions with a picture quite accurately. The analogy of the leaves to parents' arms holding an infant is quite astonishingly relevant. I enjoy your interpretation of this image thoroughly; thank you again for these very rewarding comments! Kind regards, Vincent
