One of the jungelguides stumbled over these fighting, and made a nice

motive. Comments much apreciated...

I agree with Ross. I download only the photos I like most and consider worth seeing again. I have downloaded this one. It is so well composed it is hard to belive that this is, in a way, a 'candid'. Thanks.

Very nice - well seen. I think it benefits from the black and white conversion (even though I haven't seen the colour version!)

Excellent perspective/point of view. The implicit lines formed by the tails and bodies of these creatures create a pleasing experience for the person looking at it. The textures and monochromatic color scheme work very well together and the result is this. I love it

In trekearth.com, someone added this pick to MC Escher theme. I'm going to look up that now to find out what it is since several people draw that conection...

Thanks for your comments!

Cameleons?? Are you sure that's the right translation? They look more like lizards...! Good shot, I would like to see more details on the animals backs though.

Terje, I like it a lot. The black and white works very well to bring out the earthy texture and silhouettes of these creatures.

One question: Have you tried cropping about 1/4 inch, or about 2mm from the left side and the top? It might bring about a bit more symmetry and balance.

Talk about good timing! What makes this exceptional is that you caught them on this wonderfully textured surface. The surface alone would've been great by itself, but having these two reptiles in a perfect pose is what I call luck! (or patience.. lol) Congrats.

Thumbs up for this great black and white, unmanipulated, formally perfect photo, only contender in the top ratings of the last days amongst a hoard of colorful, aggressive, vibrant photomanipulations (I always side with the losers).
