andrzejp 9 Posted February 26, 2018 Great DOF, unique expression. Very nice portrait. f/1.4 or 1.2? Link to comment
helder_mendes 0 Posted February 26, 2018 Hello Andrew, it was neither. It was f/2.2, I didn't want the nose to became too much blurred. Although I have the 1.2 I don't often have it with me on the street, it's to expensive and too heavy, I used the 50mm 1.8 from Canon instead. Link to comment
andrzejp 9 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi Helder, I have Zeiss 1.8 , 55 and 1.4 , 50. The 1.4 is about 4 times heavier so I mainly use 1.8 on the street. I mainly use 1.4 in the studio. Link to comment
helder_mendes 0 Posted February 26, 2018 Hi Andrew, I don't have a studio, I wasn't able to make that jump yet; It would help improving and developing new skills but I still can't afford it. I do feel the weight on my wrist when I use heavy lens for too long, like in a wedding. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted February 27, 2018 I love his expression and realistic skin. Crop might be a little too tight, but then again, I'm old. Link to comment
helder_mendes 0 Posted February 27, 2018 Les Berkley, no one is to old to have an opinion. I don't always use crops this close, it depends of the person expression; this portrait has so detail in it I like to see it close. Link to comment
