Red Barons, Miramar Naval Air Show, NAS Miramar, San Diego, California

This shot was taken at the Miramar Naval Air Show in San Diego. The

Red Barons were exciting to photograph as they moved relatively

slowly, and had great plumes of smoke behind them. I'm interested in

your thoughts and comments!

I get a real sense of the planes' swooping motion from this photo. You have captured the dynamic of flight and framed the sweep of the smoke trails perfectly.

the motion is very good as the previous poster said. My eye travels counter clockwise down, to the planes, and then is caught again by the smoke trails to continue the circuit. Very well framed.

Ooooh...I like it, I like it! Nice to see others shooting aviation-related stuff too! This would make a nice Airshow Program cover or something similar.

I thought they were racing boats shot from a plane or something...cool

How often do you see pics of biplanes in action these days? The plume trail gives a wonderful dimension of depth to the picture.
