Bubble like images

This is a shot of light reflecting off of soap film. Does this work

as a photograph?

For some reason, I have spent more time looking at this picture than any other on photo.net. It's magical to me. I wonder if you could catch the reflection of plant material or human flesh in future pictures?

Thanks for the very nice comment - I've tried doing some digital compositing with these kind of images, but haven't liked any of the results enough to post them here...

 

I am interested in trying to incorporate other elements with this kind of shot. Reflecting a tree or a person would be very interesting... Another thing I'd like to try is pushing things through the film - if you coat your hand in the soapy water you can push it through the film without breaking it... If I get any pictures out of that I'll post them here...

Your "bubble" images are really wonderful. The colors and shapes are great. I have looked at "oily" places along side of streams and have wanted to capture these colorful images. Yours are very much better. Now, I want to go make some bubble images of my own. You know what they say? Imitation in the highest form of flattery. =]
