Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 9, 2017 When I see a picture like this, I'm taken not just by the image but also by the eye that lies behind the image. I ask myself what was it that captured the photographer's attention? What was the link between the the ah-hah moment of perception and the pressing of the shutter button? Many of the pictures I see are obvious in their intent: this is what I saw and this is what you would see if you were there. Though a photograph might be beautiful, there is little that speaks of the personal moment, that sparks my imagination and really draws me into the picture. I like pictures that have a touch of mystery and captures that feature which everyone else seems to miss. (P.S. One reason I seldom make long comments anymore is that this format is so damn hard to read as it stretches out across the page like a camel caravan crossing the Sahara..) Link to comment
