andy_graham 0 Posted June 6, 2001 Marcos, ..to me, the most interesting subject in this shot is the water, great tonal values and an abstract look...maybe if you zoomed in on the spot where the steps meet the water? Link to comment
marty_maxwell1 0 Posted June 6, 2001 I have to agree with the above. If you got tighter in on the steps, the image would be more isolated and powerful. I assume the steps were the subject. Link to comment
james___ 0 Posted June 6, 2001 Crop to include just the stairs and water with the pilings in the background. Right down to the top of the stairs. No mesh above them. The water is just right but the steps are too flat and a little dark. Dodge the steps about half a stop and then burn them back down with a #5 filter to give them a lot of snap which will separate them from the pilings in the background. Leave the pilings alone. Print at 11x14 on FB glossy paper and mat to 16x20 with a window mat. Hang on your wall and enjoy and great image. JamesJames Link to comment
marcos_romero 0 Posted June 10, 2001 Trying to get a feel for how people feel about this image. It seems like noone rates images anymore. So, it's hard to get an accurate feel without resubmitting day after day. Link to comment
marcos_romero 0 Posted June 10, 2001 I cropped the original down, and boosted contrast a tad. Which image do you like better, I think the second is definitely better: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=252640 Link to comment
