Taken on the first lap, a few of the front runners drag a bit of dirt

onto the track entering the new "S" section. Yes I know the helmet

on #11 is cropped a bit, but they weren't standing still. Image was

taken with the 300F4 and the TC20E.

Wow...thanks for the positive press...

This is an as shot image, so yes cropping could improve it for sure. The Fan Effect is nice...hard to capture unless you have the perfect turn and the perfect spacing between bikes.

Also note the rear tire of #11 is off the ground!

sweet shot, brilliant timing...

but the best part is that you knew this would happen if you had the right view of the middle of the turn, and you pulled it off...bravo !

Thanks again...it is reassuring to get positive comments in this forum. I may actually crop that object from the left side and get a large print made for display at the track...

Maybe crop the photo so that the last round bit is still showing and then clone that out...to leave a little room to balance the image nicely...

Very nice composition & timing. Do you happen to know which race/class this was? And was it actually taken on 11/2? The reason I ask is that I have a friend who was racing there that day (and I think 11/1 also) and I'm wondering if that's him in front. Thanks!

It is definitely the 750 Expert class...but yes the date should be right. It may be from a race on Saturday 11/1...hard to keep track sometimes. Let me know as I may have more pics of him.

BTW - I cropped out the left side of the pic to remove the footpeg/distraction...I really like this shot :-)

The shot itself is perfect... Great timing with one bike exiting, one bike entering, and one bike inbetween. My only suggestion is that the photo needs a tiny bit more exposure.

Louis, I think that you really nailed this one. I like how the two lines play against each other: 1. The vertical line of the tree, and 2, the vertical line of the center bike. Bravo.

I gather you've cropped the original upload to give you a cleaner composition. In any case, the symmetry is outstanding.

I'd welcome comments on them as well.
