I have had dogs all my life, and taken some great shots, but I think this is a stunning photograph, well done.

The lighting and the layout are outstanding.

Not bad for a change. Contrast is wonderful. Pose is pleasing. DOF could be a bit better, and since the eyes are the soul perhaps a little bit more fill on the dogs right eye. All in all a very nice photograph. Kevin

This is a great shot. Cropped close and it would be even better. Or cropped on the left a little and including the whole foot would be great too. This is exceptional. Great image and nice tones. James

i agree that this is an awesome shot!

shot Neil! He looks soooo relaxed and with your camera turned you don't know where up and down is. I like it alot!

I like it - but no one has mentioned this pet peeve of mine yet.....the paw is cut off!

 

I wish you had captured the whole body....but i think its a nice picture except for that one negative.

Then why are the ratings so low? I like the shot. Love the eyes in the light. Not sure who you peeved off to get this low of a score, but you know it's a good shot, don't you?
