February came the change to Photo.net, rolling out a new site with out testing proved to be unlucky. The forums were littered with complains on a daily basis, people venting their frustrations. I have tried to resolve some issues I had with the site not only in the forum but a personal message. The last I heard was from Glenn, April 19 who assured me that he would "look into it" , I haven't heard from our friend ever since.

I sent personal messages, I sent messages to the general contact mail box and I even sent postal letters with out a response. Not in so many words, they cut the cord and with them my money. Sad to say we are on our 4th month to where I can not even use this site, I am paying for nothing.

Why am I stating all this in my images, primarily there is a host of jag offs who are responding with such hate in their fingers, I no longer want to deal with them, I do this because I don't care who sees this, basically, I no longer give a phuck, just like Glenn and his friends, I am considered a rooster inhaler.

Cheers -

When I read something like that Tony, it makes me think what a loss for all of us. Not just your obvious talent in photography but your strong support for friends and therefore the site itself, SO WE ALL PHUCKIN LOSE, but apparently that has not dawned on some yet. At this point I can't see myself renewing but will wait it out and see what changes might be forthcoming. I don't quite understand the change and what they are looking for ultimately. Regardless of all that I will miss you very much my dear friend. Let me know where you go. By the way the image is perfect for this. Take care Tony, Best Always, Holger

What we see here is typical to the way society interacts in the "like" world, I guess it is easier to hit the like button than to interact with humans. Today you go to the grocery store, or any retail establishment. Never a greeting, never a thank you, most just seem irritated to be there. Same here, they got my money, why do we find the need to interact?

Hello Tony: Let me start with the epilogue: Don't deprive the many users of masterpieces like this one.

I not only understand, but share your frustration letter by letter. I have also corresponded with several of the "steady regular contributors", the ones whose work is really worthy and remarkable. For a long while, I was as frustrated with the site as you are. I totally remained away from even browsing it....and during that time, I kept working with my images. Time passed and I really missed the interaction. Believe me, this is better (?) than many other sites. After being detached and distanced, I could look a t PN from a distance, and concluded that yes, it changed completely....however, not essentially. We can still post comments like this one. I don't like the friendliness nor the navigational nuisances of the new site. Having said that, as I could not find a good venue to share and post my photos, and since I was really itching to do something with my work instead of looking at it by myself, I decided to start posting again. I can tell you that I am satisfied with the results. I believe it is a matter of getting used to new things, or one has to be really drastic to embrace it, or cut the ropes forever.

Now, this is not only a rare image. It is a WINNING image, in whichever platform. It goes into my favorites right away, in case you decide to really leave, which, after seeing this image, I would personally regret it much. IMHO there is still sufficient quality photographs in the site, and there is "all this room" to effectively interact. I have no interest whatsoever in convincing you nor anyone, nor do I have any sort of stake in PN. All I wanted to share with you is that I have (as has a very good friend and bright individual in PN) "gone full around the track". I left, and came back, as I found nowhere else to share my work with a selected few, a small but intelligent base of photographers who still take photography seriously, and not the stupid Instagram or similar sites. Such is life, you either get used to "changes and modernity" or not. Believe me, I am perhaps the latest of "late adopters". I started photography over 45 years ago, and took me forever to switch to Digital. And to get a cel phone? Better don't ask.

Thanks for letting me convey my ruminations. Either way, I wish you the best of luck. Sincerely, DG.

Thank you Daniel for your kind words, it made my day. The issue I am having is that I posted images to my portfolio, months and months ago, when I select them for a critique they end up showing on page 20 or beyond, understandably I can not have that. I have a few images with comments that have not been critiqued.

Also, images that I have uploaded to the old site are showing up very pixelated in the new site, I do not want to delete them and reload, I would prefer to keep the comments made. I am befuddled on what to do with product that is not getting this sites full attention.

Tony,

I'll try to stay away from 'politics'...

The image is excellent,

I like really good PP, light and all of details,

Just like Daniel said -'It is a WINNING image'

Congrats,

ZT,

This site is just too hard to navigate, I just completed a review, my system locked up then Photo.Net pulled my pants down and slapped my large grotesque arse. Bitches....
