Warp Speed

Spent 1 hour driving up and down a stetch of motorway. This was the

image I liked the most. Comments appreciated.

One of the more original images I've seen on this forum.

Incredible! I never would have thought you could get such a sharp photo with such a long exposure in a moving vehicle. First thought, upon seeing the thumbnail, was that it must be a collage, but changed my mind after seeing the ghosting in the driver. Then to see that it was 68s! Very creative.

How did you manage to keep the camera so still for so long?

Adam. I folded down the front seat of the car and used it to trap one of the legs of the tripod, the other two being on the back seat, I then put the seat belt around the whole setup as I didn't want my brand new camera disappearing through the windscreen if I had to stop suddenly, and then drove around as smoothly as I could :-)

Another good example of a 'warp speed' image with the steering wheel on the other side of the car...

I will hand it to you, Neil. Yours' is a very colourful rendition of this effect.
