Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 7, 2017 Gordon, this is a beauty. Everything seems in perfect harmony, the jagged angularity of the stand of trees and the softly round form of the animal. The very slight traces of orange in the trees is amplified in the warm tones of Mr. Fox who is posing so nicely for you. Nature approves your efforts, obviously. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted April 7, 2017 This character has been hanging around for most of the winter. A wary creature but it has gotten somewhat used to being followed at a distance by a silly man with a camera. The clearing in the woods in which our home sits offers good hunting for the field voles that make up a good portion of the fox's diet. I thought I would toss out a few photos to see if this place still has a pulse. As is often the case, I caught your attention for which I am always grateful. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 26, 2017 I really like this one; that's one magnificent fox, perfectly placed in his environment, Gordon. You're kind of the Dr. Doolittle of the far north. (Oops, I guess I already commented on this one. Just goes to show you it was no mistake the first time. A good picture is a good picture.) Link to comment
