Not Here 93 Posted March 15, 2017 Dick: This old tree has seen a lot of weather and is still kicking. Sorta like us retired and almost retired folks ;-). Good shot... Mike Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted March 16, 2017 Dick: I don't know if you've been tracking the Ver1/Ver2.1 changes, but it's been a real ordeal. Views, comments, posting, all down and the moderators are skipping down a yellow brick road. The site is tricky to negotiate, hitting the "back" button is always an adventure, comment tracking was improved after several weeks of lobbying, but it's still difficult (you almost have to track via email alerts and then respond online). I'm trying to stick it out and tried 500px on a trial basis this past week; the site works but the atmosphere isn't the community that we used to have here. I'm going to keep at it here but, truthfully, it's disheartening.... Mike Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 16, 2017 Mike, Thanks! I've been pleased to see the new format and the ability to upload larger image files. I'm just getting a feel for navigating the new version and so far, so good. I have to say that having you respond so quickly was really great. I'll keep up with the site, but it may be a bit sporadic as I am still pretty busy. Looking at the Nikon forums as well to learn as much as I can. I'll most likely upgrade to a D500 as I love my D300 but it is out of date. Do a lot of bird in flight shooting. Makes the new Nikon 200-500 zoom look interesting as well as the price is pretty reasonable. Thanks for the heads up! Dick Link to comment
