mrz80 14 Posted February 13, 2018 I'm intrigued... where does the track go, and where did it used to go over your right shoulder? It's a great visual metaphor for the past being gone behind us and no longer reachable, but the futures still offering options and change, as indicated by the turnout up ahead. Which way is it thrown? Which way will you go? Nice image. I'm not usually dragged into such a philosophical space just by looking at a photograph. :D Link to comment
Jack_Maegli 1 Posted February 14, 2018 Thanks for your comments Bruce! I have actually cleaned this shot up a bit since this post; but am letting it stand as is. Rail road tracks have always intrigued me since they have a directional dynamic to them that guides the eyes and gives a flow to the composition. I like that you have included time as a variable into that dynamic, since that direction implies a present an future. I do like it that you caught the straight track goes to a destination, while the curved track is a gamble into the unknown. And who throws the switch; fate or decision? Cheers! Link to comment
